2008 Mercedes-Benz SLR Review
The SLR is a sports/luxury supercar that debuted in 2003. Jointly designed with McLaren Automotive, the SLR is slated for a limited production run, with only about 500 cars produced per year. The SLR was updated to the 722 edition in 2007.
The BuyingAdvice Team Says:
The Mercedes-Benz SLR is just about the fastest automatic passenger car in the world. Designed to McLaren standards and using Formula One quality materials, the SLR can break 200 mph in the blink of an eye. That is if you’re one of the lucky few who can afford one with a starting price just shy of half a million dollars, or even obtain one of the 500 produced every year. Otherwise, you might have to settle for a Jaguar and a new home.
What’s New For 2008:
What is the Predicted Reliability:
J.D. Power ratings are not available. The SLR has been recalled once in 2005 for electrical problems and possible fire. Expect above average reliability. The basic warranty lasts for four years or 50,000 miles. If anything goes wrong with it, consider asking for a refund.
Analysis Of Safety Ratings And Features:
