2008 Acura TL Review

2008 Acura TL Review The TL is a midsize luxury car that was first introduced in 1996. It’s Acura’s best-selling model, and the first to use their now-standard alphanumeric naming scheme. The second generation debuted in 1999, and a sporty Type-S was added for 2002. The third generation debuted in 2004, minus the Type-S. After a few years off, the S-type returned for 2007 along with a styling upgrade for the entire line.

The BuyingAdvice Team Says:

The Acura TL is a tough, top-notch competitor in its class. Priced lower than many of its more traditional competitors, the TL’s spacious interior is crammed with high-tech features. The only drawback is that its front-wheel drive design limits what could be a top performer. But altogether, the TL is near perfect.

What’s New For 2008:

The security system has been upgraded. Two new colors are now available. Nearly 80 areas have been added to the AcuraLink traffic monitor.

A Saab 9-3 costs a few thousand more, and has a four-cylinder with over 40 less hp.

“With the exception of the too-thin seat cushions, it has everything anyone could reasonably want in a passenger car.”About.com

“For value-driven buyers, the fully equipped Acura TL is a steal. It offers quality, reliability and every conceivable luxury for thousands less than anything else in its class, and much above. For the rest of us, the TL is maddeningly close to greatness.”The Truth About Cars
