Head-To-Head Competition:
The Chrysler Sebring, at $14,000 less has a smaller, four-cylinder engine with 45 less hp. The Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder costs about $13,000 less, but also only has a four-cylinder, with nearly 60 less hp and no stability control. Then there’s always the sporty but small MINI Cooper, at almost $18,000 less, though it has nearly 100 less hp. However, it does get about six more miles to the gallon.
What Others Are Saying:
“With the top up or down, the new C70 should become a superstar in an already star-studded line-up.” – The Auto Channel
“The new, stylish C70 convertible is yet another step in Volvo’s rebirth as a racier, more vibrant brand.” – Forbes
“Unfortunately, when the revs start to swell, the C70’s throttle response becomes a bit… vague. And then there’s the fact that the C70 puts its power through the front wheels. In Oakley wearing mode, the little Swede is nimble enough… In short, just like kottbullar, the C70 may not be cool, but it is satisfying. “ – The Truth About Cars
