2008 Chevrolet Equinox Review
The Equinox is a midsize CUV that debuted in 2005. It replaced the Tracker, and shares a platform with the (Saturn VUE). It's seats are highly configurable for maximum flexibility. It was updated in 2007 with a new dashboard, revised exterior styling, and standard traction and stability control.
The BuyingAdvice Team Says:
The Chevrolet Equinox is a component entry into this booming segment, and one of Chevy's most promising newer models. Its adjustable seating and ample interior room make it stand on its own. However, it doesn't offer as much for the money as some of its leading competitors.

What Others Are Saying:
"'Better than we're used to describes the Equinox overall, particularly considering the source from which it has sprung. It's not just a Vue with more room; it's a wholesale improvement." - Automobile Magazine
"The Equinox is entering a highly competitive market segment. But given its versatile interior, ample power, and upscale design--inside and out--it appears well-equipped for the battle." - Motor Trend
"The Equinox is at least as much minivan as SUV. But it's hard to criticize something that is so functional and that works so well. However, it's neither a performance vehicle, nor is it a status symbol. What it is is an automobile designed for the busy family person who needs something that will start and go everyday in all kinds of weather. It's for someone who needs a practical vehicle with lots of useable space - space that you can just chuck stuff into without having to fold seats or move partitions. The Equinox fits this bill exactly." - About.com
