What Others Are Saying:

“With its European style and graceful handling, the 2008 Astra stands out among the compact cars like an espresso on a tray full of instant coffee. It may be a little less convenient, but it’s worth the effort.” – Detroit Free Press

“Nowadays, more than ever, people need vehicles that can fill multiple roles in their lives. Hatchbacks allow just that while still being fun to drive and good on gas; the Astra three-door with a five speed manual hits 24mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. For those Americans who still feel the urge to think something European is better, they can look to the Astra for a fun compact, European built and sold in America.”The Detroit News

“In short, the Astra is basically a good car that needs some refinement for American drivers.” – Newsday
