2008 Hyundai Veracruz Review

2008 Hyundai Veracruz Review The Veracruz is a mid-size CUV that debuted in 2007. It’s Hyundai’s most expensive model yet, but is significantly cheaper than the luxury SUVs it aims to compete with. It includes three rows, capable of seating up to seven passengers. The Veracruz brings Hyundai value into the luxury market.

The BuyingAdvice Team Says:

The Hyundai Veracruz is a big step forward for this Korean brand. In just a few short years, Hyundai went from being a laughingstock to producing a vehicle that’s sure to make Lexus salesmen nervous. While it still hasn’t met the highest standards in the luxury segment just yet, it’s a very well appointed vehicle for a very modest price. Don’t pass up an opportunity to take it for a test drive.

What’s New For 2008:

New features include tilt/telescope steering wheel, driver memory seat, adjustable gas pedals, rain sensing wipers and navigation. A power outlet is now available on the SE. All features that were optional for the Limited last year are now standard.

Head-To-Head Competition:

What Others Are Saying:

“The Veracruz makes one wonder if, indeed, Hyundai will attain more Lexus-style polish — at Hyundai prices”Chicago Sun-Times

“The real question isn’t how well the Veracruz compares to the Lexus RX, but whether its $2,000 price advantage, roughly, is enough to draw buyers away from the likes of Highlander and CX-9.”USA TODAY

“It does so well that I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that the Veracruz is almost as nice (and in some respects even nicer) as the Lexus RX – for a base price of more than $10,000 lower. Meowwww!”Mother Proof
